Introducing: Costa Tequila Añejo

Creating a great tequila recipe takes time. Selection of agaves, distillation techniques and climate conditions all play a huge role in the production of an exceptional juice. But this is just the beginning of the journey for an Añejo tequila. Añejo meaning “old” or “vintage” in Spanish is a type of tequila that has been aged for at least one year. The aging process turns the once clear tequila into a deep golden hue which accentuates the natural agave flavor, into something remarkably smooth.

As you can tell, perfecting an Añejo tequila can several years of trials and tribulations to get the flavor profile just right, and that is why we’re so excited to announce the Costa Tequila Añejo is finally here! Aged for sixteen months in American White Oak Barrels, our Añejo is a truly balanced product. It boasts an aroma of pure agave and notes of roasted hazelnut, caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar. This expression can be best experienced neat or on the rocks, and couldn’t be a better way to enjoy the changing of seasons.
