Artist Feature: Ben Leone
How do you chase your sun? For West Palm Beach artist, Ben Leone, his passion lies with capturing the natural beauty of South Florida.
Ben incorporates materials often overlooked in the everyday, gravitating towards raw materials found on construction sites and in urban environments. Approaching his artwork from an architectural perspective has led him to integrate traditional techniques with modern technologies to create an ongoing conversation about our relationship with the world. Through this exploration of architecture and material, his work defines our connection with nature and how we choose to integrate our mark making into the planet. This brings up topics of globalization, population growth, and climate change.
This Saturday, March 25, Ben will he hosting his first group show with Keyes Art, alongside fellow artists Nathan Slate, Joseph William Quigley, Ted Hartley and Walter Bobbie.
A portion of the proceeds will support the Vita Nova Foundation.
